Privacy Policy – FieldCalc Toolkits

This Privacy Policy applies to the FieldCalc toolkit apps (collectively, the “Apps”), including: FieldCalc – Voltage Drop Pro, FieldCalc – HVAC Calculator, FieldCalc – Plumbing Pipe Sizing Calculator, and FieldCalc – Ductulator Pro.

2) What data we collect

We aim to collect as little data as possible. In general, the Apps do not collect personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, or identifiers.

3) Data you provide in the Apps (stored on your device)

The Apps may store the following information locally on your device to provide functionality:

• Calculation inputs (e.g., voltage, current, wire size, length, conduit type, quantities).
• Saved projects (project name, timestamps, favorited status, and associated inputs/results).
• Preferences (e.g., metric/imperial units, last used tool settings).

This data is used only to make the Apps work (e.g., restoring last inputs, showing saved projects). It remains on your device unless you export/share it.

4) Data we do NOT collect

• No account creation.
• No precise location tracking.
• No contact/address book access.
• No reading of your files/photos unless you explicitly choose a file via the system picker (if applicable).
• No selling of personal data.

5) Analytics, crash reports, and diagnostics

By default, the Apps are intended to run without requiring analytics. However, depending on the store platform and your build configuration, the Apps may use platform-provided diagnostics to improve stability (for example, crash reporting).

If enabled, such diagnostics typically collect limited technical information, such as:

• App version and build number
• Device model, OS version
• Crash logs and performance metrics
• Approximate usage events (e.g., screen opened) if analytics are enabled

You can remove this section if you are certain you do not use any analytics or crash reporting SDKs.

6) In-app purchases / payments

If an App includes a one-time purchase or paid download, payments are processed by Apple App Store and/or Google Play. We do not receive your full payment card details.

The store may provide us with limited purchase information (e.g., transaction status) to verify entitlement.

7) Permissions

The Apps are designed to work with minimal permissions. If a permission is requested, it is used only for the feature you initiated. Examples:

• Storage/File access: only if you choose to export/share results or select a file using the system picker (if implemented).
• Clipboard: if you use “Copy” to copy results to the clipboard.

8) Sharing and exporting

You may choose to copy, export, or share your results/projects. When you do, the data you share is sent through the method you select (e.g., Messages, Email, Drive). We do not control how third-party apps handle that shared content.

9) Data retention

Locally stored data (inputs, drafts, saved projects) remains on your device until you delete it within the App or uninstall the App.

10) Children’s privacy

The Apps are intended for professional/educational tool use and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11) Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information stored within the Apps. However, no method of storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for securing your device.

12) International users

The Apps may be used worldwide. If you enable any diagnostic services, data may be processed by providers in different countries under their policies.

13) Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Effective date” above when changes are made.
